There aren't many bugs that are exclusive to switch, though some are more common. There are noticeable drops in framerate during heavy rain, and smaller drops with big bases, but it's never unplayable. The major downsides are: not being able open a fridge and crockpot simultaneously, so you have to move food via your inventory having to move the character to adjust structure placement, which makes it very difficult to line base structures up nearly and the 'mouse-over' now simply locking into the nearest objects, making it very difficult to pick out the right object in crowded environments, and making ranges weapons unreliable. I personally prefer the controller for general movement and basic tasks like chopping trees. I may be a bit late for this, but I used to play the switch version a heck of a lot, so I can say a lot about it.įirst off, the controls are better than you'd expect for most things.
